M Budget stores all your data locally on your device. We do not collect, transmit, or share any personal information with third parties.

1. Information We Collect

M Budget collects only the information you enter directly into the app:

Financial records (transactions, account balances, budgets)
Account and category names you create
Your display name (optional, used within the app only)
Photos or images you attach to transactions (stored locally)
Voice memos you record as transaction notes (stored locally)

2. How We Use Your Information

All data is used solely to provide the app's features — tracking your finances, displaying statistics, and managing budgets. No data is used for advertising or analytics.

3. Data Storage

All data is stored exclusively on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. M Budget has no servers and does not transmit any data over the internet, except for fetching publicly available currency exchange rates from a third-party API (no personal data is sent in these requests).

4. Third-Party Services

M Budget uses the following external service:

Open Exchange Rates API – used to fetch currency exchange rates. Only a standard HTTP request is made; no personal data is included.

5. Device Permissions

M Budget may request the following permissions:

Camera – to photograph receipts or documents to attach to transactions.
Photo Library – to select images from your library to attach to transactions.
Microphone – to record voice memos as transaction notes.
Face ID / Touch ID – to lock the app and protect your financial data.

All permissions are optional. The app functions normally without granting them.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your data with any third parties. Your financial information never leaves your device.

7. Data Deletion

You can delete all your data at any time:

In-app: Settings → Clear All Data
Completely: Delete the M Budget app from your device

8. Children's Privacy

M Budget does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. The app contains no features directed at children.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy occasionally. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
